Help again, Eddie Merckx bike.ronpitt

I now have more information. I hope this can help you tell me what you think this bike is worth before I buy it. It's a 95' Eddie Merckx "Corsa Extra". The frame also says Columbus SLX on it. The componets are all Campanolo (shifters, locks, derailer, etc.). The rims are Mavic GL 330's. The saddle is a san marco "rolls". I apologize for including perhaps more info than you need but I know very little about bikes. thanks -ronpitt
you werent going to buy this for 4000 i hopejohn de

thats really nothing special unless eddie himself rode it and even then it wouldnt cost anything near 4000...the frame you have explained enough, what kind of components are they, campagnolo makes different levels..im not positive but if it has campagnolo record (the best) and it were in perfect shape id bet its worth about 1200..if you fit a 53 ill sell you mine for 1400...all campy record 99, guerciotti neuron, cxp 33 and record wheels, every part is better than that eddie..and its nicer looking too...

Thanks, for your help John. The components are campagnolo Brev. Int. Does that mean anything.? I don't know if that's the model or not. In the mean time I did buy the bike for $500.00. Was this a good price or not. Let me know. thanks-ronpitt
ron you really dont know what you are doing do youjohn de

thats ok though..the brev whatever doesnt mean a thing, actually its the same as "patent" in italian....sounds like a pretty decent deal..here is what you look for -how many speeds, what year, what kind of tubing is the frame made or, how much does it weigh, is it healthy, ..since you already bought it i guess i doesnt matter now...make sure it fits, look on the web for advice on seat height, chose the right stem length ..enjoy..ride back roads

John, thanks for your help? If I new anything about racing bikes would I be asking for help? I've gotten some more information from some other sources. The componets are record which was nice to know. All I ever wanted was a estimate anyway. thanks ron
