|This should have been posted on the Tri board, but there is so little traffic I thought I would never get an answer. |
I met a new guy during our group ride this last Saturday. He is into triathlons and has appartently been to the Ironman in Hawaii. Anyway... he told us a story of a guy who was at the Ironman last year?? 50-55 years old. During the bike leg, somehow his saddle broke badly enough that it was not usable. The guy made it to the next rest area... standing the whole time!! Then what did he do?? He took a water bottle, taped it to his seat post with duct tape, and finished the bike leg. He not only finished the bike leg, but finished the Ironman first in his age group!!
Anyone know if this is 100% true or not??
