Speedplay X-1 pedals - I started with cleats and toe straps and then used Look-type pedals since 1989. Thought I would not like the free float of Speedplays so I didn't try them until last month. Simply put, these pedals rock. Super light (pedals and cleats) with a simple retention design that is truly the easiest clipless pedal to get into. My fears about excessive float never materialized and I feel secure even when sprinting hard. I wish I had gotten these sooner.

Selle Italia SLR - looks can be deceiving. This saddle is super comfortable even for 4 plus hour rides. Even more comfortable than my trusty Flites.

Velomax Ascent Comps - light and strong and perfectly true after 2000 miles and lots of bad winter roads. Love those hubs. I did have to touch them up during the first week, but since then they've been perfect.

Easton EC90 - super light and super stiff. Takes some getting used to, but the stiffness is fantastic if you ride out of the saddle a lot.

Shimano has finally started producing front derailleurs with 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" clamps. No more clunky adapter clamps.

The Giro Pneumo is available now through Performance/Nashbar.
