|...got the bike set up and ready to go. 1st time off the trails and on the street. Any advice for a 1st timer? Looking to get into better shape, and see where this road thing takes me. Im clueless about what kind of average speed/ HR/ Cadence i need to keep for training purposes.Although, my HRM is not working right now. But I guess tomorrow will pretty much just be getting used to riding on the road. Looking forward to it.|

|It's the time of season to work on base miles and cycling fitness anyway... so worry about the details a bit later on.
Be the bike.

|I agree. Don't give the performance side a single thought. (But don't leave the computer at home. Hey, ya gotta know how far ya rode on your maiden voyage). Just have fun, and try to get the feel of that strange contraption under ya. Have a GREAT ride.|

|I joined road riding from MTB. Now I enjoy the road as much if not a little more than MTB. Try to find someone or a pack to ride with. For me, it makes road riding more enjoyable.|| |
