How does the new SR3 and X-Aero wheels rate compare to MAvics and velomax. I know they are fairly reasonably priced. I would like to know the quality and complaints if any. Thanks

I have a set of Spinergy Xaeros and they have about 500 miles on the without a single hint of trouble. They are light and accelerate well, and can feel crosswinds (like any other wheel). I got mine on Ebay brand new, ITB, for $500 + shipping.

I have about 600 miles on my Xaeros and really like them. I literally could feel the difference over Open Pros right out of the driveway. They climb like a dream and accelerate like mad. They feel plenty stiff enough for my 180 lbs. However, based on what I've read about Spinergy problems in the past, I dread the day that I have problems with the wheels that require me to deal with the Spinergy customer service people. I just hope that day never comes. Also, in the interest of full disclosure, I should let you know that I've never spent any time on Ksyriums or Velomaxes, so I have no point of reference for comparison. You may want to try both the SR3 and the Xaero to see if you notice any major difference between them. The SR3s are about 1/2 the price of Xaeros. Happy shopping.

are the seel bladed spokes on the SR's and the PBO fiber spokes on the Xearo's. The PBO is going to give a nicer ride, and is a little lighter, other than that, there is no difference. Same rims, same great Edco hubs.
