|Why all the interest in these bikes lately? Are they really great or something? What's the deal?|

|Check out the history of this builder at tommasini.com or wmlewisimports.com. Tommasini has been around a long time. They only build 2000 to 3000 frames per year. They have introduced several new frames, including an Aluminum and carbon fiber model.
I owned a Sintesi (Columbus SLX steel) from '95 to '99 and really liked it. The paint and chrome work were superior to anything made by the mass builders. Ride and handling were great. A few years ago they introduced new rear dropouts for the steel frames, that are very clean looking.
The Tommasini Tecno is one of the finest classic lugged steel bikes around.

|Sweet, sweet ride. As good as any frame-maker out there. Buy one and you'll understand...|

|I bought a new Tommasini Sintesi (Columbus Neuron tubing) in November and love it. The quality of the paint, lugs and detail work are unrivaled and the ride is beautiful. It doesn't have the name-brand recognition of Colnago and I'm hoping it stays that way...I will be disapppointed once I start seeing lots of Toms around.|| |
