Boy, is she honest...bigdave

This from cyclingnews and Leontien Zijlaard-Van Moorsel.

"Her attack on the world hour record is planned for September, but she has to plan around her monthly cycle: she knows from experience she can take more pain when she has her period. As her husband Michael says, "You have to listen to the laws of your body."

Longo's 46.009km hour record was made under new UCI rules mandating a conventional bike. Normally Zijlaard-Van Moorsel rides on the hoods, but that's not the most aerodynamic position, so she is training with her hands lower, and that brings in another physical problem: "Then my t!ts are in the way. Longo doesn't have that problem."

Maybe I'm just a knuckle-dragger, but I found that amusing... no shame on her part! :-)

Wonder how that effect her aerodynamics ;)? Very interesting issue actually. I wonder home many women cyclist have this problem? Have to admit that most of the female cyclist I ride with do not have this problem :O.

bits and pieces that "get in the way".

For women in general, it's still a path of discovery. While the sports bra has been around for a while, the industry as a whole hasn't invested a lot into women's specific needs... not unless dollar signs pop up.

"Exposure" so to speak, might spark yet another positive development... kinda in the vein of "why didn't we think of that sooner?"

Obviously we all bring our morphology to the table and adapt as best we can for our sport.

Be the bike.

If they're very skinny, no prob....but non pros like myself and kinda overweight...yep, they somehow can get on the way.....
and hey, I don't know about the aerodinamics....never came to my mind.
I can just see it, "t!t fairings" (nm)Dog
