I can find deals on road, mountain and cross bikes, but...Alex

not on track bikes! I've been combing the net for deals on a 58cm track bike for months, but just haven't hit. The track community seems to be small enough that you don't need to advertise to sell a used bike. You just pin up a note at the velodrome or sell it to a club member.

Is there an online retailer I can turn to for a built bike at a nice bargain price? I just haven't got the cash to spend $2300 on a Waterford. Clocks ticking, I need to do this before my girlfriend gets back from school and makes me buy a couch.

Thanks,

ALex

There's a KHS Flite track bike I think being sold by Performance (www.performancebike.com). At around $600, it sounds ok enough to zip around the track. You probably won't win very many races with it, but I've tried the bike before, and it works good 'nuff for me.

Contact Gene (www.spicercycles.com) for an alu frame that goes for about $250, or Polly@cyclescanada.com who has a steel frame for $200

I've seen the KHS and it looks like a good ride for the money.
