Ochoa brothers and helmets?(2 posts)

Ochoa brothers and helmets?Largo

Does anyone know if the Ochoa bro's were wearing helmets when they were hit by that moron (who should get the noose IMO)?
Just curious if helmets would have saved them, given the euro's tendency to forego lids.

From what I have read, the Ochoa brothers were not wearing helmets at the time of the accident.
This next statement could start a large controversy, but I am one of those people that I think it is the riders choice. I don't fault anyone for not wearing a helmet. I personally don't feel comfortable unless I have one on. My main reason being is that I don't trust the drivers out there. if I had a closed loop I could ride with no cars or the sort, I would probably go without. I do trust my own skills and components.
As far as racing goes, I will always wear a helmet.
