Sidi MTB shoes=Sidi road shoes?(4 posts)

Sidi MTB shoes=Sidi road shoes?Stuart Kernaghan

I've got a pair of Sidi mountain bike shoes, and need a new pair of road shoes.

I'm wondering if the Sidi road shoes fit the same way as the mountain bike shoes, or if they are cut differently.

My Sidi mountain bike shoes are a little wide/roomy, so snugger wouldn't be bad.

Thanks for the input.

Got two pair of 49 D2's and one pair of 49 Genius 3... The road shoe fits ever so slightly tighter... possibly due to a more rigid sole but not uncomfortably so.

I like the fit of both types.

Be the bike.
I have both...Fit is the same to me...biknben

I don't notice any difference in the fit. The are both bomb-proof.

totalcycling.com has SIDA Dominator mtb shoes now for $112. That's the only discount price I've ever seen on them. Only available in black right now, but they're offering a special package deal with LOOK mtb pedals.

I have a pair of SIDA Rampa mtb shoes that I wear with my road and mountain bikes. They work fine for me, although I have very low arches and had trouble with the straps catching on my crank at first. I e-mailed SIDA about the problem and they suggested cutting the straps shorter, plus I added arch supports to my shoes, and that solved the problem.
