Got my new Atlantis (I know you were wondering), and boy...Cory

...is it cool!
I got the last 64cm in stock, put it all together Monday night and couldn't resist going for a ride at about midnight. Out of the moderately warm garage in jeans and a long-sleeved T-shirt, pick my way among the icy puddles in the dirt road to the pavement, test the brakes, run through the gears, coast the half-mile down to the river. Cut around the gate at the rich folks' gated enclave, bear down to climb their hill and snap the chain, because it's the first time I've used a Sram and I forgot to check the power link. When the sheriff came, I was crawling around in the gutter looking for the pieces, freezing my ass off in 25-degree weather, wearing fuzzy slippers.
Rivendell was great to deal with, BTW, lined me up with exactly what I need and shipped on receipt of my check, without waiting for it to clear.

To send a picture of your bike to Rivendell for their gallery. I go there all the time to check things out. Just missed getting one of their Beta lugged stems, rats! Atlantis looks like a really good deal.

....maybe you did not really miss out. I got one and returned it the same day. It's a boat anchor,IMHO. The quill has a goofy bulge in it that only allows partial insertion(great for Rivendell fit) and the finish was so bad I am surprised Nitto let them out of the factory. No way was that junk worth the $100 they were selling for. Again, Just MHO.
ThanksSteveS

Glad to know that. I figured that the stem was heavy but I didn't suspect the other problems. Maybe I am glad I missed it.
nice!Hank
