| Should I? | BC Mar 12, 2001 6:40 PM | | I have found a great deal at Supergo for a set of 2000 Spinergy Spox R1's. Should I buy them, they are only $299. The MSRP is $700!!!
Any feedback is greatly appreciated,

| um...... | Hank Mar 12, 2001 8:57 PM | | for the same price you could have a set of hand built wheels with DA hubs and Open Pros. That's what I'd get, anyway. |
| Aren't those discontinued? | DrD Mar 13, 2001 2:55 AM | | I have read good things about that wheelset, and 299 is certainly a reasonable price - however, the fact that they have been discontinued could be a concern if you have any problems down the road with them (broken spoke or nipple, etc. - odds are your LBS won't have the part and you might be looking at a long wait to get it from Spinergy) Excel Sports has the Cirrus (DA hubs, Open Pro rims, Revolution spokes in front and non-drive rear, 14/15 drive side rear) for $295 |
| re: Should I? | Alan B Mar 14, 2001 3:20 PM | | I saw them too. I read the reviews on this site and the R1s took a beating. They seem to be not very durable and difficult to fix. Not to mention it will get harder to find parts. I asked a Supergo sales guy and he said he only knows of one person satified with the wheels. Everybody else he's heard of was not happy with durability. I passed, even at $299. |
