|I am in the same boat. I think I strained my knee last Monday on a trining ride(maybe tendonitis or something). I have been trying to rest and not ride. I did ride last night and had some soreness in the knee afterwards. I iced it and that seemed to help.
It is probably a good idea to rest but it is hard when you are dying to get out there and ride.

|How long have you been riding? Are you just starting out? Are you riding a road or mountain bike? These are just a few of the question
someone would ask you if you where seeking professional help. I also
had knee pains before, I found that my saddle height was too high.
And also I was pushing a big gear too early in the season.(In the hills) Use RICE-rest,ice,compression,elevation on you knee, Goodluck

|Where exactly is the pain in your knee? Some knee pain can be caused by not enough float/improperly adjusted pedals. I had pain on the outside of my right knee about 2 inches to the right of my kneecap. It turns out I was pedaling with the rear of my foot too far out. I started pedaling with the rear of my foot a few degrees toward the chainstay and no more pain.|| |
