Clips, road clipless, mountain clipless? |

| frogs | PaulNYC Jan 28, 2004 9:10 AM | | MY fixed is like a city bike, so I like recessed cleats. I also like loads of float. |
| re: pedals | ukiahb Jan 28, 2004 11:05 AM | | I like Shimano 323's as my fixie is the bike I sometimes ride around town in street shoes, but can clip in for longer, faster rides. |
| re: pedals | Welshboy Jan 28, 2004 11:40 AM | | Look pedals. So cheap they are almost disposable!
I'm getting quite good now at clipping in the second foot on the first rotation! |
| Time Aliums | OverStuffed Jan 28, 2004 1:11 PM | | Reliable in the snow. Even more reliable in rainy and dry conditions. No difficulty clipping in quickly. My fixie is my commuter bike, so the recessed cleats are a plus. I consider switching to the Z-Control pedals every once in a while, but I can't justify the expense.

| Shimano mountain SPDs | laffeaux Jan 28, 2004 3:06 PM | | Any two sided pedal would do.
I have two sets of shoes, both with Shimano SPDs on them, so it limits my choices to either Shimano or Ritchey pedals (I use both, and Shimanos are much nicer). |

| currently spd's | loose_headset Jan 29, 2004 11:08 AM | | I just started riding fixed and currently use offroad spd's for the double sided entry. Eventually plan on switching to Campy pro-fit to match the geared bike, so I only need one pair of road shoes. |
