48 hole track hubs???Frank Tuesday

I'm in the process of building up a tandem track bike for road use. RAGBRAI, here we come. I've never seen one before, but does anyone know of a 48 hole track hub. Both the riders are 220+, so we need the strongest wheel possible. I suspect a 36 hole rhino lite on a high flange hub will be enough, but more is more.

check Phil Wood for custom drilling? nmDougSloan

you could respace a bmx hub. it wouldnt have the threading for a lockring but theres ways around that.

Phil can do what you want, with almost any spacing for the dropouts. I suggest that you use a Velocity deep-V rim with the kind of loading that you are talking about.

Phil Wood can also make the hub in a flip-flop so you can have an emergency cog for a hill. Also they can do it with threading for bmx freewheels. That way you can coast, if you get worn out.
