Hey, I just picked up a Surly Tuggnut for my SS and it is the best thing ever. I can't belive that no one else ever thought of it. For those of you who don't know what it is, it's a chain tensioner for semi-horizonatal, old school, road drop outs. Oh yea, its a bottle opener too, how sweet!!

I thought the tuggnut was just a standard chaintug like used on bmx bikes, etc. I can't see how it would work on a road semi-horizontal DO. Maybe I am out of the loop. Post a pic.

Sr. Pedro, you are correct. the picture is on the surly website. It is designed for fork ends, not semi-horizontal drop-outs. It does look cool, but it's too expensive. I got chain tugs for $10. A pair of tuggnuts is ~$70

I'v been using it all wrong, but it still works great. I just didnt use the little "T" thingy and it holds the wheel just fine. You only need one of them too.
I got something like that...gpsser

Some FreeAgent cheapies, with a little file work, on some semi horiz. road drop outs. I'll try to get a picture. Took me about 45 min to do the mods.
