Van Dessel - CRB questions...NEthingbutlast
Oct 15, 2003 10:26 PM
I am looking into getting my first single speed/fixed gear bike.

I've read up on the posts about the CRB and seems to fit the bill for me. Plus...I love the looks of the CRB. Here's the problem...the Van Dessel site doesn't have any more of them until Feb. And...I think it will be the new style.

Does anyone know where I can find a new OR used one?
Not sure what size I need. I have a 32" inseam.

Thanks for any advise!

I am not sure if you are the same person that contacted me from a post I had placed on but if you are I sent you an email already.

If not, I may be selling mine so contact me for information:
bid4items AT aol DOT com

I have a 50cm but if that does not fit I think my LBS may still have a 53cm.

Let me know.

I also have a 32" inseam and the 53cm frame fit me perfect with a 20 degree 120mm stem. Be forewarned though, there is a fair amount of toe overlap with that size frame. I don't know if the problem would be as bad with a bigger frame, but I had alot of trouble catching my toe when I was stopped at lights.
Are there pics available of the new CRB? (nm)D_man

The pics of the frame are mine and are the current model. Those are some old pics since my bike has gone through a few revisions sicne then.

As for the new frame, I have heard from Van Dessel that the new model will have straight tubes, a bare alumnium (clearcoated) finish, and have track ends with a derailleur hanger much like the Surly Karate Monkey's dropouts. I have not been abe to get pics but I assume they will post them soon.
