|Salvaging a stripped hub?||pauly|

|In an experiment of moronic proportions, I installed a cheapo track cog on my Surly (free/free) hub (no lockring, no loc-tite). I hoped 2 brakes and no back-pedalling would make for a safe endeavor. Wrong. Bad boy stripped the hub within 15 miles.
Am I left with a one-sided hub (freewheel only from now on, of course)? Or can I have a track cog or freewheel "welded" on to the toasted side? If so, would JB Weld do the trick?
