|Cool Fixed Gear Commutes?||cmgauch|

|I did my 1st fixed gear commute to NYC (from NJ) yesterday. Even though I live about 10 mi west of the Lincoln Tunnel the GWB is the only real option to cross the mighty Hudson. I had forgotten how cool it is to cycle across the GWB and take in the views.
The trip took just under 2 hours (about 27 mi) & I showered up @ the gym & left my bike there. The commute home was actually more fun, but I was totally spent by the time I got there. I'd do that ride again, which I guess is the true test of ride quality.
So who else has a cool fixed gear commute?

|first 10 through the Pine forrest, 5 more through blueberry farms. Another 10 on a country road. Last 5 in traffic (sigh) with a bike lane. About 2:15-2:25.
Of course, this only happens about once a week, max. The rest of the week/year is on the Mcycle.

|I'd commute both ways if I didn't have to be at my desk 2 hours before the sun usually rises, so instead I hitch a ride in with a neighbor and my bike at 4am and then ride home.
15 miles from my office in downtown SF, over the Golden Gate bridge, to my house in Southern Marin. Probably 80% bike path. It's nice on gears, but fixed it makes it so much cooler.
