|...and man am I stiff!
When I put in long miles on the fixie I get a totally different kind of soreness than the long road rides. There is no particular muscle that is sore, and my lungs don't feel stretched up. I feel all twisted up and stiff, like I've lost some flexibility, both upper body and lower body. I suppose its more like lifing weights than an aerobic workout and so I'm recovering differently?
Anybody know what I'm talking about or have I been hitting the crack pipe too hard again?

|... I haven't tried that far back to back on the fixie yet. I did get in a day of about 32 miles a couple of weeks ago and did feel it a little the next couple of days.
Long days back to back have never bothered me on the cruiser. This fall I'm gonna test the limits of that with the "Tour de Canal", and 84-mile day followed by a 100-mile day on flat 2-track.

You're a lot less mobile on the bike as far as position without the ability to coast." He rides back and forth to Leadville (60 miles away one way) once or twice a week to see his lady friend on a 39x16...plus all his off-road epics on a 39x20. We call 'em "Matt Rides"|| |
