Going Fixed!biker485

I decided not to sell my Prologue and I' am going to make it a fixed gear. I have a 7400 6speed Dura-Ace rear hub on it. Can I convert it to a fixed at a reasonable price and space it properly, or should I just lace a new hub that is made to be fixed?

Thanks,

Troy

I would get a rear wheel built up that is a flip flop hub on a Mavic rim or one that matches the front, get the correct cog and freewheel, chain and keep what you have in the event you want to switch back to a geared bike.

I have been checking around and I think your right. A Surly Fixxer will not convert to my hub (pre-1997), so a cheap track hub I can dish properly would work better. I already have two geared bikes so I am not worried about that.

Thanks for the help,
