|On the singlespeed cruiser, I use Diamondback Bigfoot BMX Platforms exclusively. Also use them on my MTB and on my wife's old Higgins. They're wonderful.
For the retro fixed-gear, I have a couple of sets of toe clips that I picked up for it at a bicycle flea market, but they're mostly for show.
I also picked up a set of Looks with a really interesting set of cleats: the cleats are mounted in toe clips, so you can strap them on your regular shoes. I tried these once and decided they're the worst of BOTH worlds. Fortunately, they didn't cost much (flea market, again).
I'm presently running a set of SPD-compatible economy pedals, and a cheap set of MTB shoes, which are working fine for now.

|105 toe-cage pedals with flame pattern Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars, the flames make me go faster;)
I ride my fixie around town, so i need guick in and out and the ability to run a casual shoe.

|My favorite pedal system of all time for road. (Eggbeaters score 10 of 10 for MTB)
I just swap them between my fixed and geared bike. A pedal wrench is much cheaper then a second set of pedals!

|All of the above...
On my slow commuter (32c tires, fenders, rack) I ride clips w/straps.
On my townie (north road bars, sprung brooks saddle, basket), I ride wellgo BMX platforms ('cuz they look vaguely weapon-like)
On my faster fixie, I ride Crank Bros. Eggbeaters.
Thinking about going back to clips and straps for the faster one as well, since I seem to be rebelling against the whole cleated shoe thing lately.

|It's what I had lying around =). I like the two-sided entry of the Spd's but I like the bigger platform of the Looks.|
