Campy BB for older Strada crank?…(also on Components)TFerguson

Unless I just buy the current model, I'm pretty much Campy clueless. I have an older Strada crankset with the tab for the inner ring ground off to use as a fixed. On the back of the crank arm, it has 165 STRADA and 11 in a little box. It has the Campy insignia on the front. It's going on a steel Bianchi Reparto Corse track frame with a 68 mm BB shell and English thread. What do I need to know about the BB required? Are there different tapers? Can anyone take a stab at what spindle length I will need?

Thanks much,
TF

Check out this thread.

With an outside ring, 111 spindle length seems to work.

The current Campy Record Pista BB should work out. Taper is the same. I have one in my Cinelli track frame with early 70's Strada road arms and the chain lines up perfect on the outside ring. Also, this is nice for a road going fix as it's a sealed unit. I think the Campy road triple BB's are the same 111 length, so if your trying to save some dough you may be able to use Veloce or Centaur.
