After 2000 straight miles on the SS.........................chopper

I got on my road bike and WHOA!!!!! I almost crashed. My single speed has these old Giro D'Italia handlebars that are about 40cm wide and my road bike has 46cm bars, it felt very uncomfortable for the whole ride. The bikes also handle very differently. Anybody else have such a variation between bikes causing such discomfort? I'm probably going to make an effort to match up the handlebar sizes at a minimum.

I also noticed an immense gain in leg strength, I'm able to climb some good inclines in the big ring.
I'll buy your Giro bars if you sell themDave Hickey

off. Seriously, if I get new bars for the SS I'll be glad to sell them to you, stem and all. Currently they are on my 1973 Gitane Tour de France. I don't know when I'll be down there next but I'm definately doing the Ride for the Roses and usually spend a few days in Keller - I love riding those country roads.
Deal.. Lunch is on me....Dave Hickey

Let me know next time you're in Keller. If not, we'll meet at RFR.
