Anybody here ever been to the track in San Jose, CA?curlupanddie

I've been meaning to try out the whole track scene, and I'm thinking about taking one of their sat. morning beginner classes. any words of wisdom?

and had tons o' fun, until I lost the front tire on a ribbon drill and went down. After five stitches in the chin, a jaw that won't quite close, a wrist that won't quite move, and numerous cuts, scrapes and bruises, I sort of want to not ride for a couple days. If I do, I think I'll be riding the cruiser. Strangely enough, I still want to go back.

Saturday mornings are good to start with. Bring your pedals, shoes, helmet, etc to use on their loaner bikes. They go through the basic track stuff, then onto some skills and finally a couple short races. Turnout is 10-20 people depending on the weather. If you like track you can buy a bike and race on wed/fri nites. No rental bikes for races.
