The cheap french wh*re. 1983 Gitane steel frame, $5.51, no-name messenger bars, $16, Shimano 600 brake levers, $10, Micheline bi-sports, $34 for the pair, used Pro-link seat from my kg 271, $8 kmc chain. This thing is fast-42x16 gearing (fixed), 175mm Nervair crank. Lots of fun and fairly comfortable. It currently has the original steel mavic wheels, I'm eventually going to put CXP 33's on it, I think. Oh, Suzee flip-flop hub, $25. Hope you like!

I much prefer a unique, down-n-dirty jalopy over the ubiquitious, off-the-rack tracker. Much more character. All for under 58 bucks. What could be nicer?

Not really. I sometimes stretch out and use them as sort of T bars. BTW-my new handle is KG 361. See the post from the genr'l board http://forums.consumerreview.com/crforum?11@@.efcaad3
