Another new Surly FG(5 posts)

Another new Surly FGKEN2

These Surlys seem to be getting more popular... I just built this one up with a 42 x 17. The rear hub is the new Surly 135 mm flip-flop, laced to a Mavic Open Pro. Also running mini V-brakes so I could use bar-end brake levers without travel agents.

Those are Dimension cranks 170 mm, cheapies from QBP. Surly chainring, Shimano Ultegra square taper BB. The 113 mm spindle length, usually for triple setups, lines up perfectly for chainline.

Only problem is there seems to be some compatibility problem on the L crank, it only goes about halfway on to the spindle even torqued down tightly. I'm going to have a shop look at it.
