|AC track hub Bianchi conversion problem

|I'm converting a 2000 Bianchi Volpe to a track bike. I've picked up a set of older American Classic track hubs. They're the type where the bolt threads into the hub rather than a nut threading onto the axle. The problem is that they do not tighten down far enough on the fork or the dropouts to hold the hubs in place. Are track bike forks and fork ends thicker than forks and dropouts on road bikes?

|weird hubs, never seen those before, how far off is it? I wouldn't think that the dropout width would be that mucsh different between two different bikes to make it not tighten down.|

|The bolts that are supplied with the hubs simply don't have quite enough thread by about 3 mm. Actually, one of the four does work but that wasn't one that I tried. Went to the hardware and found the exact same hardened bolts and by sorting, found four that screw in all the way.
