calibrating cyclometer to display cadence as speed (sort of)ukiahbill

I set up the second wheel fuction on my cyclometer so that the speed displayed is 1/2 the cadence...it won't take a large enough calibration number so that the speed display IS the cadence. For my computer (a Sigma) the calibration number is (gear ratio)(1394) e.g. (44/18)(1394)= 3406 (wheel/tire size does not matter as long as the front and rear are the same)..anyway, this might be worth trying to get a sense of what cadence you ride at without extra wires, sensors, etc. (this will provide average and max cadence too FWIW).
