Just got my frame back from the powder coater (posted pic last week). I was working on building the bike up last night and have a severe problem. For some reason the bottom bracket wants to cross thread itself. I have tried 2 bottom brackets with no success. It came out like a dream when I broke the bike down but something is definately wrong now. I have tried every manner of lube and cleaning to the area but nothing is working. Is it possible to get the bottom bracket re-threaded, or am I up the river without a paddle?
Any good LBS should be able to take care of it. nmDave Hickey

Chances are there is some powdercoat in the threads. Good LBS's will be able to run a tap through the threads.
Facing the BB should be done while they're at it. -nmTig
