I just one a frame on an ebay auction. Now I need to decde what to do with it. I have wanted to build a flat bar geared commuter. I like the long drop outs though and I am tempted to turn it into a singlespeed/fixed gear cross bike by moving the parts from converted Centurian to it. Decisions decisions!!!

That would be a mean machine with a flat bar, cross tires and V'brakes. Can you fit a 32mm tire in there?

that frame looks like a good start for a ss/fixie. nice burly fork too. do you know what the rear spacing is? looks like the brake bosses are set up for 26" wheels too. maybe not, did the listing say? looks like a good project.

I will not have the frame until next week. Frame fork & Headset were $41. It looks like it should handle a decent sized tire. I am not sure about the 26" wheel though. I know it was designed for a 700cm wheel. It is not the lightest frame out there, but it is a beater bike. I have a couple of extra wheelsets. Just throwing it together with stuff out of my parts box.

I am leaning towards a geared bike at the moment, but I may go the SS/FG Cross route. I can always throw the flat bars and deraileur back on the Centurian. I guess I will decide when I get the frame.

That frame is bent! Negative feedback for that seller! (kidding). Nice grab. I'd go the SS/fixie route and turn it into a crosser, FWIW.
