Question for Doug Sloandesmo

Doug, I noticed in the pic of your Pista that you had a right hand Record Carbon brake lever on it. I need just a left hand one if you have the extra from the pair. Could you let me know off list if so. email: otis@otisrecords.com

If not, were you able to buy just the right? I can't find anyone that will sell me just the left. Thanks, Otis

The left lever is on my EV2, as I'm using a downtube front shifter on it.

I bought both together at Excel Sports for about $100. Don't know if you can get just one; your best bet for trying is probably Branford.

You can get the Shimano levers for only $40 at Excel:

Ultegra and Dura Ace levers are the same thing. They don't say anything but "Shimano" on them.

Running a front der. downtube shifter on my new Foco frame. I already have a right hand carbon Ergo, so must stick with Campy (like I wouldn't anyway). Looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet on the pair. Man, you think they would sell crash replacements. Maybe some high dollar fixie rider out there wants a right hand Record carbon brake lever. Listen up guys and gals if you want to be as cool as DS, let me know I'll sell it at my cost. Cheers, Otis
