Suzue track hub axle conversion question(4 posts)

Suzue track hub axle conversion questionShad

I'm wondering if it's possible to convert the solid, nutted axle on my front Suzue hub to one compatible with a quick release skewer? It's a pain carrying both 14 and 15 mm wrenches in the event of a flat. Also it would be easier to remove the front wheel when placing the bike in the car trunk.

Thanks for any help. Shad

Why not just get 15mm nuts for the front hub. All the Suzue hubs that I have ever run both sealed berring and cup and cone used 15mm nuts. I never carried two different wrenches.

You may want to check out if one of the axles sold at Harris Cyclery will work:

Thanks for the ideas! NMShad
