|I have a chance to get a good deal on a 2000 KHS Flite 100. Anyone familiar with this bike? It has a sloping top tube that appears to be very aero for the track but might not be comfortable for training on the road. KHS has has tode away with the sloping top tube in 2002/2003. Any feed would be helpful.
Here is a photo: http://www.khscanada.com/2001bikes/flite100.htm
The Picture is a 2001 but it is the same frame.

|IT should read "done away with the sloping top tube" not "tode".

|KHS is a basic entry level track type frame. Probably a decent way to get your feet wet without spending a lot of effort putting together your own bike from various suppliers of parts. Some of the components are low end but acceptable for the price. The 520 tube set is lower end and heavier than 531 Reynolds, which was and still is the standard of the industry for frame construction. You should get plenty of miles out of it before you get tired of it and upgrade components or sell/trade it off.
