|and a 1/8 chain or should I go 3/32 all the way round?...will I have trouble finding a 17 tooth 1/8"? I asked something like this before but forget the answer.|

|It's probably best to pick either 1/8 or 3/32 and use it all the way around. Someone correct me if I get this wrong, but you can use the wider chain with the narrower chainring or cog, but not vice-versa. I don't see a problem with mixing cogs and chainrings, except you might have a little unwanted play in the drivetrain.
I choose 3/32 all the way around so I may use a Sram chain with the convenient powerlink.
