Anyone know if these are drilled for a front brake? -I live in a major city, new to singlespeed would prefer a brake. At $549.00 price looks good to get me started s-s.

It is drilled for a front brake...furthermore, I like the steep fork rake that allows turning around cars in heavy traffic easier...(keeps your body more upright) There's one on ebay right now

Or, I have one for sale (I'm going to put it on ebay soon). Mine is a 53cm. If you want to know more and it's your size, I might sell outside ebay.

Or if you want to know more about this particular bike, just ask.

Thanks. I want one now! The one on ebay is my size 57cm-although seems like in the end for all the hassle of buying new stuff on ebay I'd end up paying the same at an lbs and have customer service.

oNE THING ABOUT THE PISTA IS THAT THE HEADSET AND BOTTOM BRACKET WILL GIVE OUT PRETTY SOON. THIS BIKE WAS MADE TO BE INEXPENSIVE AND IT SHOWS. PLAN ON REPLACING THOSE ITEMS IF YOU RIDE A LOT. OTHERWISE IT'S GOT A GOOD FRAME GEOMETRY DIALED IN FOR CITY RIDING AND IT'S CHEAP. OH, THE PAINT CHIPS IF YOU LOOK AT IT TOO MUCH.

My Pista's size sticker (back of the seat tube) says 57 cm. I bought it some years ago and remember that the frame struck me as small for a 57 cm when I adjusted my saddle height.

I just now re-measured my frame. The 57 cm is from the center of the bottom bracket to the top edge of the seat post clamp. The measurement from the center of the bottom bracket to the centerline of the top tube (center-to-center) is 54.5 cm.

Make sure the Pista fits you.

I just ordered a Pista. I normally ride a 56cm top tube on my road bike. The Pista has a steep 76 degree seat tube (vs. 73.5 on my road bike) so I ordered the 55. I checked the standover height, too, just to be safe and it was fine.

Great bike for the money. Agree the headset is junk, but my bottom bracket is still going strong (it's an anchor though). If you have a good Bianchi dealer near you have them check for older years still in the Bianchi warehouse. I got a 2000 (which came with real track nuts)for much less than the ones I see on ebay (and no shipping). As said before good to check the size out carefully as the raised BB puts the top tube higher than normal road frame for the same seat tube length.
