| Shimano 540 for cyclocross? | bones Feb 5, 2004 8:34 AM | | Hi all,
I'm planning on commuting a bit this spring/summer/fall and want to do it on a cross bike. The commute has a bunch of good singletrack on it. I've decided on the Jake the Snake bike.
The options are a shimano 540 bladed wheelset or an ultegra/open pro set. Which would be more appropriate?
Also, double or triple for cross?
thanks,
brad. |

As for lacing try : http://www.stormpages.com/spokeanwheel/lacingcf.htm
Some interesting food for thought, I have used the 1 radial crows foot pattern for years and can honestly say its the best I have ever used, all the benifits of 3x plus stiffness of radial. + looks great too, definately a conversation starter. |
