|  That depends... | Nater Feb 2, 2004 2:21 PM | | on the stem in question. The "typical" road stem these days has something around a 80 degree angle. That means it's a 10 degree drop below a right angle with the steerer tube in one orientation and a 10 degree rise if you flip it over. Road stems are available in lots of lenght/angle combinations so you should be able to find exactly what you need. Salsa is one company that has a huge variety of stem sizes. Let us know what size you're looking for and someone will probably be able to recommend a stem for you. If you already have a stem...it won't hurt anything to flip it over and try it. |
