My New Cross Bike(6 posts)

I do talk too much, but I am not all talk. Now that cross season is over, now is when I finally get the money together to finish my CX bike! After getting a 52 cm Cannondale frame last spring, not having the money to finish it, not wanting to use the VISA to finish it, getting mad at it, trying to sell in on eBay, racing CX on the MTB. a year later the bike is done. 105 drive train, MA3 rims, cross handle bars, Jet tires, and the best part Dura Ace bar-con shifters! The shop did a real sweet job in it and stayed with in budget, and a reasonable weight 22 pounds. Not a top of the line pro model, but no Sora special either, and better then the MTB. It looks so nice I just want to hang it on the wall, to bad I have to wait seven months for it to get a proper shake down.

Take a look at the pictures. I chose the background very carefully so you folks can pick the bike, and my bookshelves apart :).

I meant to race it in a CX race. I for sure plan to ride it. When it warms up I plan to take it to some MTB trails just to show off, ‘does that dude have drop handle bars?' I am not going to ride it right now because it is about five (5) degrees outside. I will stick with indoor skating for another eight weeks or so.

I like the stealth look to it.
The book shelves are your style with that bike you won't have time to read anymore.

Stealth, they will never see me coming as I pass them, especially if the CX race runs through some signal track.

Those books, games, and boxes are from my misspent youth, and I cannot bring myself to part with or sell them. They are too much from ‘back in The Day'.
