Take a look at the way Wellens has his front brake cable routed. It appears the cable hanger isn't coming from the steerer tube - maybe from the stem somewhere. Anyone know what he's doing? It's also hard (for me) to tell which lever is controlling the front brake.

He is using a rear cable guide (the canti one you attach to the seat collar) bolted onto the stem face plate. Quite common in cross circles, helps with cable routing as we all have problems routing the cable from bar top then right into headset. Left lever controls front brake, is there any other way? :-)

even though I run left for front I see the functionality of the switch. much easier to trim speed in dismount position with left as rear brake control.
i got the same kind of routinganaerobic Max

as the previous poster said, it'S a rear cable hanger that you would normally mount between the seat collar mounted to the front stem plate.

I twisted it a bit (better routing) and added a brake-cable adjuster screw to adjust the brake during a race.
