|Paging The Walrus ('99 Bianchi)...||TFerguson|

|I saw a post a while ago where you gave the specs/geometry of a '99 Bianchi from the catalog. Do you have that catalog and could you look for the specs for a '99 Reparto Corse Pista? It's a MegaPro steel in celeste with the same markings as the picture you showed of yours.

|You don't say what size frame you're thinking of, but I'll condense what I can here:
Head tube angle: 74 (49-53), 74.3 (55-57) and 75 (59-63)
Seat tube angle: 76 (49, 51), 75.3 (53-57), 75 (59),
74.3 (61) and 74 (63)
Sizes are 49-63cm (c-t), in 2cm increments. If you've got an idea of what size(s) you're interested, let me know so I can give the other dimensions.

|The seat tube c-c is about 55cm and the top tube c-c is about 56cm. What size does the correlate to? Bianchi doesn't seem to be very consistant about what they measure to determine "size". On my Volpe, the size is the seat tube c-c. On the new standard Pistas, the seat tube c-c is way less than the "size".
|Sounds like a 57cm...||The Walrus|

|The listed top tube length is, indeed, 56cm c-c, and the seat tube is 57cm c-t. All the Bianchis I've ever encountered were sized based on the c-t measurement on the seat tube (and their literature was always specific about that). Some Bianchis have a decal on the seat tube that gives the size; is there one on your Volpe?|

|Volpe sticker says "55 center to top". It measures 55 center to top of the seat post, not top tube.

|That multi-colored splash behind the "Bianchi" on the top tube is the tip-off that it's a '99. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful bike...|

|I was watching the '99 TdF last night while on the trainer and was looking for the splash on the Mercatone Uno bikes. It wasn't there.

|paint scheme; only the 'cross frame and the Pista (all-celeste) got the splash (don't know why they didn't put it on the triathlon rig, too). At least, that's what the catalog shows...|| |
