| Edwardsville Ecstasy Cyclocross Race (IL) | richpierce Jan 9, 2004 8:20 AM | | This Sunday is the 2nd of the Froze Goat Cyclocross races. It's in Edwardsville IL (near St. Louis, MO) and we will roast a goat (cabrito) and serve it up.
This site (http://www.stlbiking.com/froze_goat.htm) has details.
This one is sponsored by Wheelfast Cycles of Chatham IL and we've got a ton of swag to give away. There will be primes in every race and we will be giving away a SID fork as a drawing prize. Plus plenty of other cool items. Here's a view of some of the twisty wooded paths- they are smooth and passing is possible! |

| Looks like a great course! | KG 361 Jan 10, 2004 7:33 AM | | I'm itching to race another one. It will be spring before there will be races here, I suspect. |
| Lucky Devils! | arctic hawk Jan 9, 2004 10:45 AM | | You guys are so lucky that you can still race at this time of the year! Wish I could be there!
Goo Luck & Have Fun! |
| Lucky Devils! - Yes we are. | Wheelabrator Jan 11, 2004 8:28 PM | | We were very lucky, indeed. Sunny and 62, the course was fun with a lot off camber stuff. Rich and the OGRE crew did another great job, as all of their events are very well organized.
Rich - you really out did yourself with the trophies - the winner of the "C" race got a 5 foot tall trophy topped with a gold milk goat. And the swag was unbelievable, SID fork and Sram XO derailuer and shifters - too bad my number didn't picked for one those.
The weather that we have had for the 2003/2004 cyclocross races in St. Louis has been incredible with race day temps averaging 10-15 degrees above normal, and today was a taste of spring.
