I raced in J's latest love fest here outside of Memphis, Tennessee. I'm officially hooked. Hopefully more pics will be posted (and I have some of the A race as well and they are mostly from the other areas of the course than chip's). Mine will be up on the smellslikecx website hopefully next week.

First of all, it was a blast. Like chip said, there were plenty of recovery areas that I could look forward too as I was bleeding out of my eyes on the 3 killer parts. Those three would be the climb next to the parking lot with the barrier at the top (just when your mind thinks you are about to let gravity take over you realize you have to some how get over a barrier), the 3 barriers-up the levee-down the levee-run 30 yards and 1 barrier section and finally 4 barrier snake turn with the finish on gravel where I thought I would yard sale in front of everyone. I started one race 2 weeks ago on my pos single speed and dnf'ed, so this is my virginal cross experience. It was frighteningly fun considering the pain I was in.

I rode my cx bike that arrived this past week and was just built up. It fits perfectly without even adjusting the seat. Scary. See pic:

It's an incredible ride. My new favorite bike (out of my "stable" of 4--Specialized Allez Elite Cro Mo, Trek MTB, Diamondback SS and this). I am blown away with how this bike handles.

The bike make is unknown. It has a great blue paint job and beautiful lugs. It received lots of complements. Size 55cm, 1x9 with a bashguard, like new xt rear derailleur, like new 12x32 rear cog, Sugino cranks, Salsa stem, Scott bars, older Ultegra STI on the right side and a Dia-compe lever on the left and ATAC pedals (freaking love them).

Any ideas on the maker or other info about the bike? Info from knowledgeable sources (J2) point to a Euro maker and dating it to late 80's. Regardless, it's a great bike and will be ridden all over this city.

Thanks for looking.

wow, sweet bike ST! Can't believe I missed the best weather (and from what I hear the "best" course) so far.

Congrats on the new ride. Can't wait to meet frankenbleu in person.

seller. Perfectly clean and exactly as stated. I wish I could ride it more.

We could discuss a trade for that kelly?

Thanks again.
