Okay, so it's not exactly CX as we know it, but lots of running, riding, and mandatory dismounts were involved, as well as 700c wheels, so it sorta qualifies...

Waaaayyyy back in February Pat Irwin and I did a little ride through Alaska's Interior, following parts of the Yukon Quest trail. After we finished up and I got back home, I got so busy with spring and summer riding, racing, and traveling that I never got around to writing about the race. So, 9 months later (a suitable gestation period, I think) I'm finally catching up and here it is.

Both Pat and I were on stock Airborne Ti 29"ers. Mine had gears, Pat's was single. Both used 29" Snowcats, Hugi hubs, DT Spokes and nipples, Hayes hydraulic brakes, and Kenda Tires.

Enjoy.
