|This last Saturday, Dec 13 was the Indiana Cross Championships at a KOA outside of Indianapolis. It was a nice chilly day with the windchill probably making the temps 20 degrees or maybe a bit lower. The ground was frozen rock solid so mud was not present except in the area near a little stream.
It was an interesting course with 3 different barrier sections. One set of barriers was a nice group of three barriers on a hill run up. Next there was one barrier on a very slight downhill which called for a quick remount to set set up for a slight turn onto a bridge. The third barrier was in the woods and once you dismounted you had a quick slope down and a slope back up and then around a tight little turn between a fence and a slope down to a creek. That was interesting and I think I grabbed the fence post every lap to make sure I made it through safely.
The biggest challenge I thought was the ruts in the trail in the wooded section and the fact that the ruts made it a bit challenging to find a good spot on an already tight trail to let the fast guys by when they started lapping the women. All in all a fun time!
I've posted some photos here from the A Men's Race:
Please pass them along if you know any of the racers as I don't know any of them.

|Thanks for your report and the A race pictures. I raced in the B race and had a good time. Do you have any B race photos? Thanks again. David K|

I raced in the B Race as well so I have no photos. I wish I did! I was the woman on the Bianchi in the lavender jersey so if you see some photos posted somewhere let me know.
