can I use STI brake levers with vee brakes? I thinkjiggs

a while ago someone described a gizmo that allowed the sti lever to pull enough cable to operate a vee brake and I would like to get more info. Thanks for any help,

most mail order shops have them under brakes. originally designed so you could use vees w/ older canti MTB levers. looks like a roller cam, which I guess is what it is. check previous posts, most prefer cantis for mud clearance and the modulate as well as vees in this set up.

of my K-2 enemy frame, (mavic 520 rim, mutanoraptor 700 x 44 tire)so will need lots of clearance. This is my winter ride, off road, and I might even get a set of studded 700 x 35 that are on sale at nashbar. I will pick up a set of travel agents, and might also look at cantis if this doesnt work out.
