What year Reparto Corse Bianchi is this?Colin_S

Found this for sale and it looks quite interesting. I've been wanting an older steel Bianchi for a while now. I'm just not sure of the year or the geometry. It is listed as a 52cm, but I do not know if the geometry is the same as the current Bianchi cx bikes.

Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

First the sizing should be the same. Those little splash's of color make me think it's relatively new. What is the frame material? Bianchi was pretty much solely Columbus until about 5 years ago or so, now it Dedacia(?).

My track frame has the same markings.

The materials tag says:

Exclusive Set
Double Butted
Lite steel
Heat Treated

You can post your message on the Bianchi forum:
Maybe someone there can give you a clue.

The frame is most likely a 1998 or 1999. If memory serves me correctly, the "Cross Project USA" Reparto Corse frame was reintroduced in 1996. The 1996 and 97 frames were virtually identical except for the fork stickers. They were also constructed using Dedaccaii Zero Uno tubing and lugs. After 1997, the Reparto Corse steel frames were made for 2 or 3 more years and used a cheaper heavier steel than Zero Uno and featured a slightly aero downtube.
It's a '99--I have one.The Walrus

Not sure what details you're looking for, but maybe this will help (from the '99 catalog)

For the 52cm: Seat tube 52cm c-t
Top tube 53cm c-c
Seat tube angle 74
Head tube angle 72
Standover 30.75"

It's a great bike--you won't regret getting it.

FWIW--my baby...

Another point the lack of lugs says relatively new.
