Buying a Cross Bike in the Bay Area??Zooman

Anyone Know of a Bike shop in the Bay Area that carries a good selection of cyclocross bikes? Would like to test ride before I buy. If so, What brands do they carry? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

The Missing Link in Berkeley carries Bianchi, Surly and Trek (among other brands, but those are the brands that make cross bikes I can think of off hand). I think they have a decent number in the store for test rides. They sponsor a large cross team and quite a few of the employees race cross very seriously and are a wealth of knowledge.

Have you tried the dealer locator for Bianchi, Kona, Redline, etc? You could call the shops that are dealers and see what they have... good luck!

I have a brand new Poprad '02 that is just sitting in my garage. $700 built to the website specs. Less than 500 ft. of riding on it. (email me if interested)

You can look it up at : http://www.lemondbikes.com/bikes/bikes_poprad.html

Also...if you are interested in used cross bikes, you can look up : http://www.craigslist.org (search : cyclocross)

There are a lot of used cross bikes there as well.

Santa Cruz has a ton of bike shops that have cross bikes (ie. bicycle trip, family cycling, etc.)

Good Luck...

Thanks to everyone for the locations and advice, Since there are hundreds of shops around the Bay Area this info really helps out. Also, I can't believe that I forgot to check out Craigslist.
