looks like the barriers are made from plywood and bordered with something else, then painted. i'm guessing. also, they have some stablizers on each end, on either side. is this the only thing that keeps them upright, or are they also supported with rebar or something else driven into the ground. how are these barriers made and supported?

the course is super well-marked with tape strung pole to pole. the poles appear to either be made of PVC or something else, and if something else, they look to be covered in pipe insulation. which is it? does it work well? if PVC, how are they driven into the ground?
