What is a Fair Price for this bike??NECCO

I'm considering purchasing a CX bike from a local rider. it's a 2001 Jamis Nova. The bike is completely stock with an assortment of Ritchey components (bars stem seatpost & hubs) w/ full Shimano Tiarga components and avid shorty 4 brakes. The guy selling it says it's never been off-road and he has the original CX tires that have never been used.

the bike looks brand new and he's asking $600 for it—says he originally paid $950.

Is this a fair price?

I'm new to the CX world and I don't have a clue what this bike is worth.

Please help me out,

thanks.

The Performance bike shop in my area was selling Jamis Nova for $ 600.00 brand spanking new. I'd say go keep on looking because for $ 600.00 you can find a cross bike better equiped. What do you think guys?
new Nova's are $900climbo

so he probably did pay $950. If it's in good condition $600 is a fair price.

I got mine (exact same bike) for $499 from Performance in San Diego last Dec 2002 as a close out. It is possible that he did pay that much as it was the retail for this bike when new. I would try to get him down to $500 or less.
Thanks All for your help.NECCO
